Dan Bernstein, Trombone

A Denver native, Dan grew up in household where learning to play a musical instrument was practically mandatory. Sadly (or maybe not), no composer has ever written piece for cello, viola, oboe, bassoon and trombone. Dan played in all-city and all-state bands and orchestras and the Stanford University "marching" band. He was never suspended. A newspaper columnist by day, Dan enjoys reading, herding sheep with his Old English sheepdogs and avoiding home improvement projects. He played for years in the Riverside Community College Evening Jazz Ensemble and still whistles. Hear some of Dan's soothing trombone sounds here.
